The MP reported that Juan M and Juan C, detained in the Villarreal neighborhood, were fined 17 and 18 thousand pesos.
The Public Ministry of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR) in its Federal Prosecutor’s Office in the State of Zacatecas, obtained from the District Judge Specialized in the Accusatory Criminal System of the entity, a conviction for two people, for the crime of carrying firearm and possession of cartridges and magazines for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces.
The sentence for Juan “M” was seven years, one month in prison and a fine of 17,220 pesos, and for Juan “C” it was six years, eight months in prison and a fine of 18,361 pesos.
According to the investigation file, these people were detained by elements of the Zacatecas Metropolitan Police, derived from an armed attack against security elements that occurred in the Villareal neighborhood, municipality of Guadalupe, Zacatecas.
From these people they seized: four .223 caliber firearms, six magazines, two hundred and sixty-four cartridges, six ballistic vests and a cell phone.
Due to these facts, the Federal Public Ministry (MPF) decided to take those now sentenced to a Detention Control Hearing before the competent authority, who after qualifying it as legal and after formulating an accusation, issued the link to the process and in an abbreviated procedure, the respective sentence.
