The two drove on Koetsierstraat at Schiphol in such a striking way that the military police stopped them and wanted to check them. The 30-year-old driver was found to be intoxicated.
During the search of the car, the Marechaussee officers found 19,000 euros in suspected counterfeit money and half a pound of cocaine in a backpack of the co-driver. The money and drugs have been confiscated. Both men have been transferred to the station for further investigation.
After the men were taken away, the marechaussees saw a loaded revolver lying on the street. This firearm has also been seized and is being investigated by forensic investigators.
