Two men have been arrested in Rotterdam for biting, hitting and holding a police officer in a neck lock. This happened on the night from Saturday to Sunday, the police reported.
The two men are 25 and 58 years old. The incident happened just after 1:00 am on the Meent in Rotterdam.
After a report of a fight, officers went to the Meent. “Once there, peace had already returned. It was decided to record the names of everyone involved and send everyone away,” the police wrote.
A woman present did not agree with this. “She does not listen to the officers’ orders to leave. After warning a few more times, the officer gives the woman a push in the direction of where she should go. The officer is immediately attacked by two men.”
The officer was then punched, bitten and held in a neck lock by the two men. Two other officers present then arrested the two men, both from Rotterdam.
The assaulted officer was checked and treated by ambulance personnel. The police did not report exactly what injuries he had. The officer did not have to go to the hospital.
