Two Men Arrested Following Stabbing Incident, One Victim Hospitalized

Two men have been arrested following reports of a stabbing. One man was flown to hospital with serious injuries.

– At 14.24 AMK received a caller who claimed to have been stabbed and we were connected to the conversation, says Sveen.

It was the injured man who contacted AMK himself, operations manager Gisle Sveen tells VG.

When the emergency services arrived at the scene, the damage was assessed as consistent with a stabbing, he says further.

– The injuries were considered so serious that the patient was flown to hospital by air ambulance.

Råholt is located in Eidsvoll municipality in Romerike.

The violence probably took place outdoors.

– Someone has been arrested in the vicinity to secure their explanation, we have no concrete name information on who it might be.

The police later state that two people have been arrested.

– The basis for the arrest is that weapons have been found at the scene, says operations manager Sveen to VG.

Both of those arrested are men – one held in Øvre Romerike and the other in Oslo, the police say.

Sveen says that the injured man’s condition has meant that they haven’t been able to talk to him much yet.

– For the time being, he is said to have said that he did not know who it was, but it was characterized by his condition. We have not received specific names or information, but we are working on the theory that it has its origins in a conflict.

The operations manager adds that the information they have so far indicates that there should be no danger to others.
