LONDON – National team (National Team) England have to give up hope of failing to lift the trophy European Cup 2020. In the match which was played at Wembley Stadium, Monday (12/7/2021) early in the morning, England surrendered to Italy through a penalty shootout.
The final match was actually very fierce. Even England and Italy had to end the match with a score of 1-1 after playing the game for 120 minutes. Unfortunately in the penalty shootout, England gave up with a score of 2-3.
It was recorded that there were three players of The Three Lions – the nickname of the English national team – who failed to carry out the execution properly. Interestingly, the three players are young English players who are expected to shine and the excitement again is that two of them are Manchester United players.

The three are Marcus Rashford (23 years), Jadon Sancho (21 years), and Bukayo Saka (19 years). Their failure to execute a penalty was disastrous for England, who had to harbor hope to lift the European Cup trophy for the first time.
Previously, Rashford, Sancho and Saka were not included in the England starting XI and came off the bench. Even Rashfor and Sancho came onto the pitch in the 120th minute as reinforcements for the penalty shootout.
However, the burden placed on these young players did not materialize well. Rashford who became the third kicker started the bad luck of England who actually had a 2-1 lead over Italy in the penalty shootout through goals from Harry Kane and Harry Maguire.
