No one won the first prize, but two lucky winners scored enough numbers to win the second prize in the Viking lotto on Wednesday, reports Norsk Tipping.
A Finnish winner, and a man in his 70s from Alta in Troms and Finnmark. The prize was exactly NOK 1,635,710 each.
– OiOi, I don’t quite know if I believe you, replies the second prize winner from Alta when Norsk Tipping gets hold of him on the second attempt.
He had not dared to pick up the phone on the first call, but was eventually persuaded by his wife when she realized that it was a Hamar number.
– I must say I feel happy – if you are telling the truth, laughs the winner, who wishes to remain anonymous.
He currently had no concrete plans for the prize, but could assure us that it would be useful.
At one point in the conversation, the wife had still not understood what had happened, and we therefore encouraged the husband to tell.
– She was completely speechless, now, he chuckles after revealing the prize money to his loved one, who was knitting.
The recent Vikinglotto millionaire could tell that the prize was to be celebrated with a few glasses of wine the following weekend.
