Two Latinos abused girls in New York: one pleaded guilty

Two Hispanics have been charged in separate New York child molestation cases, one of whom has already pleaded guilty.

Yonathan Ramirez Argueta, 28, admitted Thursday to sexually abusing a girl for four years in Central Islip, Long Island. He said that the crime began in May 2018, when the victim was only 5 years old.

The girl spoke about the abuse in April 2022 when she was 9 years old. At that time, Ramírez Argueta fled to the state of Georgia and tried to leave the country but before reaching Central America he was captured and extradited to Suffolk County. He is expected to be sentenced to 12 years in prison, reported Patch.com.

also thursday Ottoniel Gomez Martinez (42) was accused of allegedly sexually abusing and rape a 7 year old girl in her home in ramapo, rockland county. The event allegedly occurred on February 2.

Gomez was indicted Thursday by the Rockland District Attorney’s Office on charges including predatory sexual assault of a minor and rape. If he is convicted on the highest charge he faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison, he noted. News12.

The prosecution alleged that Gómez used his relationship with the girl to sexually abuse her, but did not specify the link between the two, according to MidHudsonNews.com.

All charges are mere accusations and those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
