The police in Innlandet have moved to Otta in Gudbrandsdalen following a report of a stabbing.
– It is confirmed that two people have been found dead in a housing complex in Otta. The perpetrator called the emergency services himself about the situation, and was undramatically arrested nearby, the police write.
A tactical and technical investigation will be carried out throughout the evening, crisis teams in Sel municipality have been activated.

Operations manager Kristian Bjaanes in the Innlandet police district tells Dagbladet at 19.30 that they will not comment on anything further beyond what they have already written on Twitter.
Deputy mayor Pål Ellingsbø says that he was told about the incident via the crisis team.
– It is of course a tragic event. A crisis team has now been set up in Sel municipality. Beyond that, there is an ongoing investigation so I don’t want to comment beyond that.

Operations manager Kristian Bjaanes tells NRK that they have a relatively clear picture of what has happened, but emphasizes that they are still very much in the start-up phase.
When asked if the police know the arrested person, Bjaanes replies:
– We do not comment on ties as the matter stands now.
Operations leader in the Innlandet police district, Fredrik Thompson, is on the scene. He says that it is too early to say whether the parties have any connection to each other.
Thompson says there is no indication that this is a specific environment. He also says that the three involved must be Norwegian citizens.
– As far as I know, yes.
