Two investigations were opened by the Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis) prosecutor’s office after a chase involving a police officer and a man potentially injured by gunshot. The facts took place Tuesday evening January 14 between Drancy and Blanc-Mesnil (Seine-Saint-Denis).
It is 8:10 pm when a police team tries to control a man on a scooter in Drancy. The latter has committed several offenses, but refuses control and tries to escape, relates The Parisian.
A chase starts and the fugitive arrives as far as the Lescot city in Blanc-Mesnil. Having lost them, the team of two bikers split up to find him. One of them then collides with the wanted man. The policeman, on the ground, is then violently beaten by a man who witnessed the scene. He takes out his weapon and shoots in the direction of his attacker, reports the same media.
According to Loïc Travers, Ile-de-France official of the Alliance police union, “the technical procedures have been respected in such a case” and affirms that the policeman, slightly injured, has not lodged a complaint for the moment.
According to the site Actu17, this video was shot during the assault in Blanc-Mesnil.

Two investigations opened
Circumstances still very vague that justice will have to clarify. The Bobigny public prosecutor’s office thus opened two investigations. A first “entrusted to the territorial security for attempted voluntary homicide on a person holding public authority (PDAP) and another to the IGPN at the request of the prosecution for violence by PDAP”.
Both the fugitive and the man targeted by the shot are nowhere to be found. It is also difficult to say whether the man was injured by the shooting.
The prosecution specifies that “no one has been arrested for the time being”.
