Two inmates in a Swedish prison took hostages and demanded a helicopter and pizza

According to the sources of the publication, the prisoners are 30-year-old Isak Dewit and 24-year-old Haned Mohamed Abdullahi, who were sentenced to 18 years in prison for murder in 2016 and 2019. Abdullahi awaits deportation after serving his sentence.

The inmates were armed with homemade weapons – razor blades attached to toothbrushes. They are barricaded themselves in the guardroom, covered the surveillance cameras and demanded a helicopter to leave the prison. During the negotiations, the convicts added pizza and kebabs for themselves and all their inmates to the requirements.

The pizza was taken to jail. After that, the prisoners released one hostage. After a total of nine hours of negotiations, the second guard was released, and the circumstances were not reported.

The police opened a criminal case on suspicion of kidnapping. Both prisoners were arrested and transported from prison to the police station in Eskilstuna.
