Two people were injured in a single-vehicle accident in Urk on Friday evening. The accident happened just after 9 p.m. Both victims were taken to hospital by ambulance. The condition of the victims is not yet known.

The driver drove the car straight on the Domineesweg over the roundabout at the Meep. The vehicle came to a stop in the bushes a short distance away. Due to the seriousness of the accident, emergency services rushed to the scene.

An air ambulance landed a little further to allow the doctor of the Mobile Medical Team to transfer to the ambulance. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
