A traffic accident occurred on the “Niedersachsenring” (L94) early Monday morning, in which two people were injured, some seriously. At around 7.20 a.m., a 40-year-old drove his Skoda on the state road from Hilter. At the entrance to the A33, the man from Bad Rothenfelde intended to turn left in the direction of Osnabrück and ignored the right of way of an oncoming Ford driver who was driving on the “Niedersachsenring” in the direction of Hilter. Both vehicles collided, the 40-year-old Skoda driver was slightly injured, the ten-year-old Ford driver was seriously but not fatally injured. Both were taken to area hospitals for medical treatment. The vehicles involved in the collision were no longer drivable and had to be towed away. While the police were recording the accident, the motorway entrance and exit had to be closed for a short time.
