Two injured in San José

For the umpteenth time, a serious motorcycle accident was recorded in the region.

This time, the accident occurred at the intersection of Laredo Street and San José Boulevard, on the outskirts of a well-known shopping center. According to the first investigations, a cherry-colored Chevrolet Cobalt car was traveling from south to north on San José Boulevard. Upon reaching the intersection with Laredo Street, the driver turned to his right, but behind him was a scooter manned by a couple.

The motorcycle attempted to pass on the right, but ended up crashing into the side of the car. The woman who was traveling as a passenger was not wearing a helmet and, after the impact, suffered a head injury, leaving her lying on the asphalt next to her passenger.

First responders, under the direction of Commander Héctor Lumbreras, immediately arrived at the scene of the accident to provide care to the injured. The injured woman was taken to a sanatorium for medical treatment.

Expert elements went to the scene to investigate the accident and evaluate the probable responsibility of the motorcycle driver, who could face charges due to the circumstances of the accident. The authorities reiterate the call for motorcyclists to wear helmets and respect traffic rules to avoid more accidents.
