Oberkirch (dpa/lsw) – Both drivers were injured in a collision between two vehicles in Oberkirch in the Ortenau district. As the police announced on Monday, a 53-year-old hit a tunnel wall on Federal Highway 28 for an initially unknown reason and then got into the oncoming lane. According to the information, he collided head-on with the oncoming minibus of a 37-year-old.
The 53-year-old man was seriously injured in the collision, the 37-year-old was slightly injured. Both men were taken to a hospital. Because of the accident, the tunnel was closed for several hours. The closure has now been lifted, a police spokesman said.
