Two injured in a house fire in Oslo

At 16.45 on Monday afternoon, the emergency services move out to Kjelsåsveien in Nordre Aker in Oslo after a report of a fire.

Police say there is a fire on the second and third floors.

– A total of eight people have been evaluated from the home, which is a three-storey wooden building. One of the people has suffered burns to his arms, says operations manager Line Skott to TV 2.

In addition, one person is taken care of by an ambulance, after sustaining smoke injuries.

Just before 5 pm, the fire brigade does not yet have control of the fire.

– The flames are still rising from the roof, says Skott.

The fire generates a lot of smoke. The police therefore ask residents in the area to close windows and doors.

The police also write that there is a danger that the floor and roof of the home may collapse.

Kjelsåsveien is blocked until further notice.
