Two injured after shooting in Asunción

Two people were injured in an exchange of shots that occurred this Monday, on the streets 36 Proyectadas and México, in the Santa Ana neighborhood of Asunción, according to the 21st Metropolitan Police Station.

The injured were identified as Favio Ramón Díaz, 25, and Isaac Ramón Cardozo, an Argentine national, 28, both with a history of drug trafficking and robbery.

The two wounded received gunshot wounds to the legs, one on the right side and the other on the left.

Commissioner Osvaldo Aquino, head of the 21st Metropolitan Police Station, reported that it is a dispute between families that dates back several months.

He recalled that in December of last year there was a case of homicide and from then on there were always problems between the two families.

In addition, the police chief commented that Isaac Ramón Cardozo was the author of several shots, not only with the person involved in the shooting this Monday.

Personnel from the Department of Criminalistics and Investigations are collecting closed circuit images of the area where the exchange of shots took place.
