Two indigenous people arrested for illegally raising four lions Two indigenous people arrested for illegally breeding four lions

Jeddah: Two other indigenous people were arrested by police for illegally keeping endangered wildlife. Qasim region police arrested two indigenous people who were raising four lions at a rest center in Buraida city.

Last week, a man was arrested for possession of wildlife at a rest center in Musahmiyah, near Riyadh. Eight lions and a wolf were found there.

The regional police spokesman said it was a violation of environmental law and regulations for the trade in wildlife and their products and legal action was taken against them.
