Two girls were hit by a car yesterday as they crossed the street with a family member in Brooklyn. Fortunately, the children suffered only minor injuries.
According to police, two cousins, ages 6 and 8, were crossing the street at the intersection of 57th Street and 7th Avenue in Sunset Park around 2pm yesterday when they were hit by a vehicle.
The 41-year-old driver identified as Yongfeng Feng remained on the scene. and was arrested on suspicion of failing to give in and reckless driving.
The minors were transferred to the Maimonides hospital and, despite being in critical condition, fortunately they are in stable conditions.
