Two games, 3:20 goals: Ad Astra Sarnen doesn’t get going at all after the championship restart | Sports regional

(JH) After almost three months without a serious fight, the Obwalden traveled on Friday evening with justified hopes for the first point win of this season over the Brünig to their arch rivals UHC Thun. And the Obwalden found the game well: After Jens-Jörn Sommerhalder’s early lead, Thun turned the game with two goals until the first break. In the middle section, however, it was the Sarners who cheered the next goal early. With Luca Rizzi, the newcomer from Davos entered the scorers list in the first game for Ad Astra.

And it got even better: Jan Danis scored in the 36th minute to take the 3-2 lead for Obwalden. “Up to that point we played really well. I had the feeling that we had the game under control, ”commented the goalscorer on the game. This was followed by a complete blackout: Within just over a minute, Sarner goalie Mario Britschgi had to fish a ball out of the net three times. «With the best of intentions I can’t explain how it came to this. We stood completely next to our shoes and very lightly gave up our leadership », quarreled Danis.

Hope rests on two Finns

Anyone who hoped that Ad Astra would come close again in the final third had to bury them early. Instead of trying to catch up, the shot backfired completely. At the latest after 3: 7 a little more than ten minutes before the end, the thread broke completely at Ad Astra. The unfortunate Britschgi, repeatedly abandoned by his men in front, had to reach behind him six more times in the last ten minutes, although he fought back with hands and feet. 3:13 was therefore the brutal verdict.

Last night, Ad Astra was out to make amends against HC Rychenberg Winterthur. 20 minutes had been completed when the home team was already leading 4-0. The game not only seemed decided, the guests threatened to slide into the next runaway defeat after the more than poor performance on Friday evening. After all: The Sarners could at least catch themselves on the defensive and only allowed three more goals in the following two thirds. To do this, Ad Astra also needed a strong goalkeeper: Pascal Amrein was able to distinguish himself several times between the posts and was therefore rightly named the best player of the guests. “Our self-confidence is currently not at the best, you saw that especially yesterday. A goal would have at least helped a little, ”said Ad Astra striker Cornel von Wyl after the game. The Sarner expect help to resolve the peat doldrums from their two Finns, who missed the double round of the weekend due to Corona.

If you take a look at the Sarner team’s scorer list, the picture is bleak. Only eight players have scored goals so far, only Kaapo Savinainen scored twice in the seven games played so far. The logical consequence: Ad Astra Sarnen is still bobbing at the bottom of the NLA table. Next weekend, the people of Sarnen have two more opportunities to win their first point: On Saturday the UHC Uster will travel to Sarnen, on Sunday the next away game will follow against the Tigers Langnau.
