Two Female Pedestrians Injured in Accidents in Razgrad

Two female pedestrians were injured in accidents this evening in Razgrad, the Ministry of the Interior announced. The two road accidents happened on “Strandja” street within five minutes.

On the footpath between bakery and gas station, a car driven by a 62-year-old driver hit a 10-year-old girl. The injured child was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where after an examination it was found that he had skull fracture and cerebral hemorrhage. The girl will be transported to a hospital in a larger city. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.

In the second accident on a footpath, a car driven by a 52-year-old man hit a 28-year-old woman crossing. After an examination, the victim is released for home treatment, no serious injuries. The driver was issued an act.

At a press conference a month ago, Commissioner Stanimir Stanev, head of the Security Police Department in the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Razgrad, stated that the most vulnerable road users during the winter period are pedestrians.
