two events this Sunday, what impact on the TCL?

Two events will be held in Lyon this Sunday March 28. Shortly before the anti-abortion activists, the ecologists will march to demand “a real climate law”. Some buses will therefore have to modify their route accordingly.

This Sunday March 28, while pro-life activists will demonstrate against abortion in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon, on the other side of the river, environmental activists will mobilize to demand “a real climate law”. From 2 p.m., the Lyon Climat collective, which brings together several environmental organizations, collectives and associations, invites Lyonnais to gather on Place Lyautey, in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon. The green procession will then cross the city via the Quai du Général Sarrail and the Cours Lafayette, to the Auditorium. The objective is to denounce the incomplete or even non-existent government consideration of the proposals made by the Citizen’s Climate Convention. Result: a climate bill judged “not up to the climate emergency” (read here).

Because of these mobilizations, and particularly the “March for the climate” for which several thousand demonstrators are expected, public transport will see their routes modified.

  • The C3 will terminate at Thiers Lafayette this Sunday from 1:30 p.m., the stops between Part-Dieu Jules Favre and Gare Saint-Paul will no longer be served.
  • The C13 will terminate at Part-Dieu Vivier Merle station; the Part-Dieu Servient stops at Hôtel de Ville Louis Pradel will no longer be served.
  • As for the C14, it will terminate at Saint-Vincent, the Terreaux La Feuillée stops at Jean Macé will no longer be served in both directions of traffic.
  • Bus n ° 30 will be diverted. In the direction of Caluire Place de la Bascule, the Part-Dieu Servient stops in Masséna will no longer be served. In the other direction, towards Gare Part-Dieu, the Garibaldi Duquesne stops at Part-Dieu Auditorium will no longer be served either.

According to TCL, traffic should return to normal around 8 p.m.
