The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake caused two aftershocks in central Croatia, where dozens of casualties were lost.
Aftershocks occurred a little after 5 am in Petriña, 50 km south of the capital Zagreb, and the magnitudes were 4.8 and 4.7, respectively.
It is said that at least 7 people were killed and about 20 people were injured in the earthquake of 6.4 magnitude yesterday (29th) in Petrinha.
Local rescuers said they were rescued overnight but found no additional victims.
The city of Petrinha, which was badly damaged by the earthquake, is still not supplied with electricity.
The European Union is reportedly planning to send rescue teams to areas affected by the earthquake.
