A more than productive week for the narcotics squad of the police station of Lens. Friday 3 and Wednesday 8 March 2023, two drug deals were dismantled in the Lensois district. A total of three people were arrested.
Three people arrested
The first search took place on Friday March 3 at Noyelles-sous-Lens. The police intervened at the home of a 37-year-old man and seized 257 grams of cannabis.
Placed in police custody, he admitted selling narcotics to around twenty customers via the Snapchat social network since September. He will be summoned to the Béthune court on September 8.
The second case took place at Bully-les-Mines, on March 8, at the home of a young couple. In total, 500 grams of cannabis resin, 4.82 grams of cocaine and 450 euros in cash were seized. The 29-year-old dealer was heard, he admitted the facts.
His partner said she was aware of his activities but did not participate. The bullygeois couple is also summoned to the Béthune court. They will be tried on October 5.
