Two people died in Japan after immunization with contaminated doses of the Moderna vaccine against Covid-19. This was announced by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Reuters reported.
The dead are men over 30, and the fatal end comes days after receiving a second dose. The cause of their death is being investigated.
Japan withdrew more than 1,600,000 doses of “Modern” after the establishment of “foreign substances” in the preparation.
It is believed that these are metal particles, according to public television in Japan, which cites sources from the Ministry of Health.
The EMA is investigating whether Moderna’s contaminated vaccines have reached the EU.
