TIMESINDONESIA, PONOROGO – Regional General Hospital or Dr. Harjono Hospital, Ponorogo stated that throughout January 2022, he had treated 50 dengue hemorrhagic fever patients (DBD) and two of them died.
Public Relations of RSUD Dr. Harjono Joko Handoko told reporters that the 2 patients were Sugiyem (71) a resident of Karangpatihan Village, Balong Ponorogo District, and Sukinem (56) a resident of Slogimo Wonogiri.
“The two patients came to the hospital in a weak and critical condition,” said Joko Handoko Saturday (15/1/2022).
According to him, one of the patients had comorbidities. “The patient on behalf of Sugiyem has a history of diabetes,” said Joko Handoko.
He also explained that until January 14, 2022, the RSUD had treated 34 patients with dengue fever. “Actually, this number has decreased compared to the beginning of January, which had reached 50 DHF patients,” he explained.
Joko Handoko also stated that RSUD dr Harjono Ponorogo is also ready to anticipate a surge in patients, “we are ready if there is a spike in DHF patients with the availability of beds and human resources,” he explained.
He also appealed to residents if they complain of fever, they are expected to immediately come to health services. “Don’t come already in a critical condition in the midst of an outbreak of cases DBD in Ponorogo,” said Humas Dr. Harjono Hospital, Ponorogo Joko Handoko.
