With these recognitions, the hospital now has a total of four top clinical centers of expertise. Franciscus Asthma, COPD & Allergy and the IBD Center for Intestinal Inflammation received this recognition in 2018.
Cooperation
According to surgeon Taco Klem, the recognition is proof that the well-being of breast cancer patients is central in the breast clinic. “We try to organize the care as well as possible. Every care employee has his or her own expertise and they try to work together as well as possible. This way you know where you stand as a patient.”
Not only is patient care in order in the hospital, but also high-quality research is carried out and students are trained. The Franciscus Gasthuis is collaborating with Erasmus MC in this research.
