After several shots were fired in the city in the Hampton Roads region in the US state of Virginia, the police encountered the first victims on Friday evening around 11 p.m. (local time) near 20th Street and Atlantic Avenue. Shortly afterwards, several shots could be heard one block away. There a police officer stopped the alleged perpetrator with gunfire and fatally injured him.
The second person who died that night was killed in another shooting in Virginia Beach. According to a report by the “Coast Reporter”, it is a woman. The police are currently not assuming that this death is related to the first two shootings.
A police officer was also hit by a car and taken to a hospital. “We have a very chaotic incident here, a very chaotic night,” said the police at a press conference.
