An attack has been committed in the center of Vienna. Shots were shot at several places. Someone was shot and a woman later died of her injuries.
Fourteen people were injured, some of whom were seriously injured. Among them is a police officer. Chancellor Kurz speaks of revolting terror attacks.
According to the police, there are six locations where shooting took place, the first shots were fired around 8 p.m. There were several perpetrators, one of them was shot dead by officers. There was also shooting near a synagogue, but it was closed.
The police are calling on people to avoid squares and to stay at home as much as possible. Part of public transport has been shut down.
