Two days to discover tech at the service of health

L’event casts a wide net. One could even say that it ticks all the boxes or almost: information for the general public, prevention, innovative treatments, apps, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, jobs of tomorrow, mutual insurance, use of health data… Its co-founder, Muriel Bénitah, a woman from finance, does not hesitate to declare her “love for tech and the democratization of access to health”. Point is the partner of six of the seventeen round tables – bringing together eminent specialists – included in the programme. MedInTechs is also 48 interactive conference-workshops and 400 stands awaiting the general public as well as patient associations and healthcare professionals.

The “trio of the future”, defined by the organizers of this event, which benefits from the France 22 label from the French presidency of the European Union, is simple: health ecosystem, innovations & new technologies and general public. This promises very varied encounters and debates. “The evolution of the world of health puts the patient at the center of the decisions which concern him”, explains Dr Julien Schemoul, rheumatologist hospital practitioner, also co-founder of this event. “Visitors will be able, for example, to discover many innovations in health and e-health intended to facilitate the care of patients at home or during their care pathways. Health innovations are leading us towards more personalized, preventive and predictive medicine. »

New Horizons

And tomorrow ? What about this famous metaverse, this virtual world that is beginning to invade our conversations, which is as envious to some as it is scary to others? The virtual world has already entered the field of health. Today, it is quite possible to wear a virtual reality (VR) headset and immerse yourself in 3D universes, to reduce anxiety and pain during invasive care or in the operating room. This technique is also used, among other things, to train caregivers. As for the metaverse, it opens up many other horizons. By the way, when are the virtual clinics? The subject may give rise to smiles but one day, which is not so far away, patients could meet there – without traveling – to discuss their illnesses and the best solutions to adopt to combat them.

As for the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, it is in flesh and blood that he will come to close these two days which he has placed under his high patronage.

MedInTechs will take place on March 8 and 9, 2022, at the Parc Floral de Paris, in the Bois de Vincennes. More information and free registration: www.medintechs.com
