Ver.di is putting pressure on nationwide and is on strike today from 3 a.m. on the Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe (DVB).

All bus and train lines will be affected. “There will be failures across the board,” says DVB spokesman Falk Lösch (55).

The subcontractors are in use with drivers. But passengers should expect the public transport to rest and reschedule!

S-Bahn trains and ferries that run regularly are not affected. The DVB are preparing for a full-day warning strike.

Accordingly, traffic jams and chaos on the streets can also be expected in the afternoon rush hour. Also in Leipzig, Chemnitz, Zwickau and Plauen the wheels stand still.

On Wednesday, parents in Dresden should assume that daycare centers and after-school care centers will only look after children from 10.30 a.m. Ver.di wants to protest with the public service workers in front of the town hall.

You can find out which day care center will (not) be affected by the strike by phone at 6 a.m. on Wednesday: Tel.

Strike-related restrictions can also be in the social welfare office, youth welfare office and in the city clinic on Wednesday.

In the hospitals, however, only a few areas are affected, according to spokeswoman Viviane Piffczyk. “We are assuming that we will be able to continue operating the clinic without restrictions.” Regular operations run in all emergency rooms.

In addition, there will be work stoppages on Wednesday in the Leipzig city administration, the district office of the Leipzig district and the Muldental clinics in Grimma.
