At the center of the Digital Days 2024 were the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation, which are becoming increasingly important for both companies and individuals. Marketing and communications expert Robert Seeger opened the conference with a stirring keynote. He spoke to around 300 listeners in the OÖN Forum about the risks of dependence on algorithms and artificial intelligence. Seeger, who has been advising international companies such as Lufthansa and Red Bull for almost two decades, used unusual symbols in his lecture: Using a Pinocchio puppet, he made it clear that many people today rely too heavily on digital technologies and neglect their creative and human skills .
The media industry was also a central topic at the Digital Days. Representatives discussed how the way people consume information is changing and what role print media could play in the digital future. The change presents traditional media companies with the challenge of providing content ever faster and across platforms.
In addition to the media industry, banks and financial service providers were also at the center of the discussions. The digital transformation of this industry aims to make services for customers as simple and convenient as possible, while at the same time ensuring security and reliability.
The Digital Days 2024 in Linz impressively illustrated how strongly digital change has already found its way into many areas of life and what role people must continue to play in this constantly changing world. Next year the Digital Days will take place on October 15th and 16th, 2025.
