DARMSTADT. An attempt to sell two stolen bicycles over the Internet called police to action on Wednesday. Officials had been made aware of suspicious offers to sell by the owners in advance when they discovered their stolen property in the classifieds. After being alerted, police officers arrested two suspects aged 35 and 39 at around 21:00 on Frankfurter Landstrasse and searched the two’s apartment on orders from the Darmstadt public prosecutor’s office. The police officers have secured three bicycles which, according to the first investigations, could be stolen goods. The bicycle of the Darmstadt woman, who had informed the police, was also found. In addition to the two-wheelers, the investigators also found small quantities of drugs and alleged instruments of crime.
