In this not very beautiful and pleasant picture, as we have at the moment, what can we do to benefit? This question was asked by Finance Minister Asen Vassilev himself in connection with inflation, soaring gas and food prices, and the war in Ukraine.
“There are several things that have already started to happen. For the first time at EU level, there is coordination in gas purchases,” he added.
“There are two critical situations ahead of us that we have to go through so that we can have a clear horizon next year and leave the rocks and storms behind. The environment will remain inflationary. The war will be with us for at least 3-4-5 years. “These are things we will adapt to and learn to live with for a while,” he said.
According to him, it is important that the political and economic attacks against Europe fail.
We are right in the eye of the storm, the turbulence is extremely high. It will depend on political decisions whether and how businesses will be able to cope with this crisis. If the right framework is not created, no matter how much the business adapts, the turbulence is great. Wrong political decisions would make it impossible, he pointed out.
“This is the truth, no matter how pessimistic,” he concluded.
