NIJKERK In the municipality of Nijkerk, two people with corona have died in the past two weeks. During this period, from 4 to 17 November, there were 147 registered infections (340.5 per 100,000 inhabitants). There were no corona patients to be admitted to the hospital. This is reported by the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).
Nationally, the number of positive corona tests decreased further last week, but not nearly as strongly as the week before. In total, RIVM registered 37,706 new infections, 14 percent less than a week earlier. Then the institute reported 43,621 new cases, 32 percent less than the week before.
The RIVM received 479 reports of corona-related deaths last week. In the previous weekly report, this became 565. These reports are sometimes somewhat behind.
According to the latest figures, 1,496 people who were infected with the virus were admitted to nursing wards of Dutch hospitals last week. 224 patients were admitted to intensive care units. Last week the number of admissions was slightly higher: 1520 in nursing wards and 275 in ICs.
