Two commentators end up in a fistfight in a debate on Ukrainian television

The climate of tension between Ukraine and Russia threatens with the start of attacks on Ukrainian territory, something that poses a real threat, according to the affected world powers. Two tertullians, one of them a journalist and the other a politician, came to blows when discussing the current situation in the country. According to various media, the fight broke out between legislator Nestor Shufrych, of the pro-Russian Opposition Platform-For Life party, and journalist Yuriy Butusov. The politician was attacked by Butusov after he refused to condemn Vladimir Putin.

Shufrych was bloodied after Butusov approached him and punched him in the face, while former Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and former President Petro Poroshenko, also talk show hosts, watched.

Shufrych rose to defend himself and the two fell to the ground in the violent fight before Butusov grabbed his opponent by the head as horrified guests pleaded with them to stop. Finally, they were able to separate them. Earlier, former President Poroshenko had criticized Shufrych for his comments, saying: “There is a Russian agent right here in the studio.”
