Le Pari opened its doors to 8 young stand-up talents during the springboard evening of the “Tarbes Comedy Club”.
On stage, Sawsane, Romain Simancas, Magdy, Max Carré, Matyol, Rom Charette, Tiffany Boffelli and Elyas had 10 minutes to convince the audience with their humor.
The key is participation in the evening of professionals on March 11 at the Théâtre des Nouveaux. The public voted and it was Elyas and Magdy from Toulouse who convinced the public. Encounter.
How did you come to stand-up?
Elyas : I have always written stories, poetry. The stand-up, I first discovered it thanks to the shows of Gad Elmaleh, Jamel among others. In 2020, I went to see a stand-up show with Magdy and it clicked.
Why don’t I try to make the scene? In July 2020, I was on stage for the first time and I haven’t stopped.
Magda: I always wanted to do this. But the virus of the scene, I caught it in a camp-site. I was playing and loved it. Since January 2019, I have been performing regularly in various comedy clubs.
How did you create your comic universe?
Magda: Personally, I am inspired a lot by Gad Elmaleh. Like him, I like the absurd which leads to a truth. To tell my stories, my friends and their daily lives are the basis of my comic writing.
Elyas : As for me, I like to approach my own life. Transcribing his daily life with a childish look is a major asset in my sketches.
Now you are the winners of this Tarbes competition. How did you get there?
Elyas : Yassir encouraged us both to register for this contest. Personally, I thought I was having a good time with my friends, going on stage. That’s all. But I’m pleasantly surprised to have won.
Magda: It is the same for me. I followed Yassir not knowing what to expect. Result: I had my first victory in a stand-up contest. Thanks Tarbes.
