JANINA
Two citizens were arrested yesterday (03-08-2023) in the morning in Ioannina by police officers of the Narcotics Prosecution Department of the Ioannina Security Sub-Directorate, against whom a case file was filed for drug possession and trafficking.
In particular, in the context of utilizing information regarding the trafficking of cocaine and other narcotic substances to users of the city of Ioannina, the police found a citizen getting into a car and while he had previously met his co-accused at the latter’s house.
Inside the car, a quantity of cocaine weighing 41.6 grams was found and confiscated, while in the context of the investigations that followed, the following were additionally located and confiscated in total:
- packages with a quantity of cocaine weighing (142.8) grams,
- packages with a quantity of cannabis weighing (88.5) grams,
- amount of money -9,810-
- three precision scales and
- five (5) cell phones
The arrested were taken to Mr. Prosecutor Plimmeliodiki of Ioannina.
