The accident happened around 16.30.
– Two children have been taken to the hospital in Sandnessjøen, and a woman has been taken to the hospital in Mo, operations manager Remi Johansen in the Nordland police district wrote in the police log.
In an update, the police say that another person was sent to the hospital in Sandnessjøen. It is not known how much damage the four sustained.
Two vehicles and six people were involved in the accident. Everyone got out of the car themselves. It is unclear what caused the crash, but drunk driving is not suspected.
Road closed – long queue
About an hour after the accident, the road is still closed.
– So far, the police have not had time to talk to witnesses. There are long queues on both sides of the accident site, the police write.
The two vehicles involved are in the same lane, so it will be possible to pass in the end, the police say.
