This was announced by the Metropolitan Police in a statement who launched an investigation into the deaths after they were informed of two dead children aged two and five at a residence in Dagenham at around 2pm Friday local time. Both were pronounced dead at the scene
The police shortly after arrested a woman and a man, both known by the boys, but it is not known how close this relationship is.
– This is obviously an extremely disturbing incident with many unanswered questions, but it is still early in the investigation and no one else is connected to the deaths, Detective Inspector Sean Treweek says in the press release.
The police also warn that an autopsy will be performed.
