I wouldn’t say it would be the end of everything when you look at the various potential bidders from Chelsea and the moves they will make, but for me staying at Stamford Bridge is one of the priorities.
The stadium needs to be renovated, I’m sure. We need to increase the capacity to be able to generate more income and continue to compete with the best clubs in the world.
But we don’t want to A) move and build a new stadium, or B) be away from Stamford Bridge for a few years while Stamford Bridge is built.
We may need to do neither if today’s Telegraph report is to be believed. Because they claim that two bidders, the Todd Boehly Consortium and the Sir Martin Broughton-led Consortium, have offered that their stadium redevelopment plans involve staying at Stamford Bridge and building as they go, rather than temporarily moving to Wembley to play our games. at home, as the Spurs have had to do recently.

For me, this is a great advantage and makes these two consortiums, or any consortium planning to do the same thing, more favorable. I think it is very important to stay on the Bridge. It’s our home, it’s closer for a lot of viewers, and walking away from it just wouldn’t sit well with me or a lot of other fans.
I think today is positive news from two of the last four groups shortlisted to buy our club, and I don’t think that’s something you can say for PR either. I think they will have to fully signify this commitment.
