Café Reality on Reguliersdwarsstraat and Lofi entertainment venue on Basisweg are closed immediately on the basis of the so-called emergency ordinance. The closure is valid for at least four weeks, the municipality reports.

Lofi has been closed after plainclothes regulators found a large number of violations. In addition, visitors would be facilitated to commit violations.
At Café Reality it was seen several times that no or insufficient measures were taken on the outdoor terrace to keep visitors at a sufficient distance from each other.
The two cases have been closed by order of Mayor Halsema. Yesterday the security region and the GGD expressed their concerns about the recent increase in the number of infections in the region. The clusters of infections are mainly seen at parties, in the family and private sphere and in the catering industry.
The municipality does indicate that most catering establishments adhere to the rules and do their best to make safe nightlife possible.
