In Bulgaria, two cases of “fluron” – co-infection between influenza virus and COVID-19 – have been established, according to the data on the website of the National Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases.

The first confirmed case of fluron in our country was reported in January 2022. Then a child from Yambol tested positive for seasonal flu and coronavirus at the same time.
