Two cadres resign after the declaration of the Nasdem of Anies Candidate, deputy: this is natural selection

GIACARTA, KOMPAS.com – Party vice president Nasdem Ahmad Ali said Nasdem respected the decision of two cadres who resigned after Nasdem declared DKI Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan a presidential candidate (candidate).

Ali said the decision to retire was indeed the right one and Nasdem could not stop it. He also compared the resignation of cadres to natural selection.

“The president general said yesterday’s decision will also select the loyalty of cadres to the party. So, this will be natural selection,” said Ali when he was contacted. Kompas.comTuesday (4/10/2022).

Two Nasdem cadres, Andreas Acui Simanjaya of West Kalimantan and Niluh Djelantik, were reported to have withdrawn from the party after Anies was declared a presidential candidate for Nasdem.

Ali confirmed that they had both resigned from the party. He then said, there are two things that must be taken into account by every painting.

“First, the willingness to lead and be led. So there are things we need to understand very well such as pictures that dialectical spaces remain open,” he said.

Second, cadres must understand that not all personal interests can be satisfied by the party.

This means that, according to Ali, all cadres should follow the party’s decisions.

In terms of transporting Anies, Ali said, all cadres should follow him in accordance with the decision of the general president of the Nasdem Party, Surya Paloh.

“Well, if you disagree, well, I think please please come out. This is a maturity in our organization, “said the former president of the Nasdem faction of the DPR.

However, Ali admitted that the decision to appoint Anies as a presidential candidate did not satisfy all cadres.

“But we cannot therefore follow our passions. For me the decision of the two cadres to resign is good, it is right. If he wants to resign, go ahead,” said Ali.

“Also, the time given by the president general in the process of determining this candidate is quite long. So the internal debate was quite long. Well, sure, in the end, when the decision was made, not everyone was satisfied,” He he said.

The Nasdem party has officially declared Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate to be brought to the presidential elections of 2024.

The announcement was made directly by the president of the Nasdem Party, Surya Paloh.

“The choice of the Nasdem presidential candidate is the best of the best. This is the end of the Nasdem that gave an Anies Baswedan figure,” Paloh said at Nasdem Tower, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, Monday (10/3/2022 ).

Paloh also revealed why he chose Anies as his presidential candidate in 2024.

“Why Anies Baswedan? The answer: Why not the best?” she said.
