Two buses should now relieve the Breisgau S-Bahn in the morning – Bötzingen

From Eichstetten and Bötzingen there is a bus to Freiburg on weekdays when there is the highest number of schoolchildren and commuters. So the mostly full Breisgau S-Bahn should be relieved.

A regular bus service has been in operation from Eichstetten and Bötzingen to Freiburg since Wednesday to relieve the busy Breisgau S-Bahn during the morning work and school traffic. The buses run on behalf of the Südbadenbus SBG, which belongs to Deutsche Bahn.

In Eichstetten, the Kenzing travel company Rist takes a bus from 7:10 a.m. to the bus station in Freiburg from Monday to Friday, with stops on the way in Bissierstraße and Robert-Koch-Straße. In Bötzingen a bus starts at 7.15 a.m. at the train station, stops in Gottenheim at the train station and then drives through to the Freiburg bus station. Both buses are to relieve some of the pressure on rail traffic.

The lines of the Breisgau S-Bahn at the Kaiserstuhl have been struggling with problems since the end of the summer holidays, especially in the morning rush hour. …
