As rarely happens, two bulls of the Nelore breed equal in weight with 1,250 kilograms each and therefore both share the title of the heaviest of the thirtieth version of the International Agricultural Fair of Santa Cruz (Agropecruz).
The protagonists of this journalistic note are Nembrot and Neptune, both products of in vitro fertilization.
Both bovines belong to the Sausalito herd of Oswaldo Monasterio, one of the first cattle ranchers who managed to export bovine semen to Brazil, almost five years ago.
Cattle with the characteristics of Nembrot and Neptune have a daily weight gain of more than 1 kilogram. They have a balanced diet and need ample spaces for their development.
At 29-month-old Neptune and 31-month-old Nembrot, these animals still have great potential for development and can quickly become suppliers of semen for commercialization.
