Two brothers, Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf Ahmed, were shot dead by three men posing as journalists in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The incident happened even when media personnel and police were present. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, ordered a high-level probe into the killings and constituted a three-member judicial commission to investigate the case. The three assailants have been arrested, and a detailed probe is ongoing. The post-mortem of the brothers’ dead bodies took place on Sunday, and the burial will likely take place by late evening. Constable Man Singh suffered an injury to his arm, and a journalist was hurt after he fell during the commotion that followed the shooting.
