The two boys who were swept on the sidewalk in Sandanski by an 18-year-old driver yesterday are out of danger. They were admitted to hospital with various fractures and the driver was detained for 24 hours.
The young driver was speeding, hitting a parked car and then the boys on a busy street in the resort town.
Now 11-year-old Vasilaki has a cast on his arm. The other child, Albert, also 11, had leg surgery.

The boys’ relatives filed a complaint against the driver.
“The state must take these measures, I am not the person to judge them. The state must take measures to prevent such things from happening. Today is my sister’s grandchild, tomorrow is my grandchild, or the other one, or the other one,” said Albert’s aunt Julieta to BTV.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver was drifting. The municipality said that there are cameras in the city, the recordings of which are transmitted to the police in such cases.
