Two bodies crashed American plane salvaged in Afghanistan NOW

The remains of two occupants of the American plane that crashed in Afghanistan on Monday were salvaged on Tuesday, reports the US Department of Defense. The identity of the victims is still being investigated.

The plane crashed Monday in the Ghazni province in Afghanistan. Shortly thereafter, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the downing of the aircraft. The Pentagon denies that the Taliban is involved in the crash.

Earlier in Tuesday, fighting broke out in the plane crash area between the Afghan army and Taliban forces when the army, on behalf of the Americans, attempted to reach the aircraft wreck that is on Taliban territory. Later a rescue team was given access to the wreck, after which two bodies were salvaged.

Exactly how many people were in the crashed plane is still unclear. A Taliban spokesperson says that six bodies were found at the site of the crash. However, according to American sources, fewer than five people were on the plane.
