Two banana farms ransacked in Lamentin and François

In Lamentin, it is on the Petit Morne housing that the damage was recorded, on a hectare and a half. The other targeted dwelling is located in Grand Fond au François, where again half a hectare, or nearly 800 banana plants, have been planted. Damage estimated at nearly € 10,000.

If the owners of the two farms intend to file a complaint, the employees did not take offense either, as Sandrine Quimper Voustad, farm worker and staff representative at the Grand Fond au François farm, testifies:

We must think of those who plant bananas: it disgusts us. Arriving this morning, we see that everything is cut, so it is really work done for nothing. I think these are people who were informed because we were to harvest these bananas this week
