Two Austrian girls drugged and raped during a vacation in Istria

Two young Austrians were drugged, sexually harassed and raped by the guards of the Lanterna campsite in Torre nel Parentino. This was reported by the Kronen Zeitung. The victims were in Croatia for a school-leaving trip. Following the news that appeared in the Austrian media, the Croatian media Novi List wrote that the Istrian police confirmed that they had received, between 20 June and 10 July, two complaints for crimes against sexual freedom committed in the Lanterna campsite.

Regarding the first complaint, the police spokeswoman Suzana Socak said: “Following the investigation it emerged that a 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of raping a young woman. Both are Austrian citizens and were in Istria for a trip of maturity “. Investigations still ongoing for the second complaint. According to unofficial sources, both sexual crimes were committed after some parties organized for Austrian graduates and that in the second case an overseer, also Austrian, would be involved.
